The goal: Install the key components of your AI setup and run your first Skill in under 30 minutes

To get your first win with AI, let’s start by building out the 3 key components of this system:

For BYOK and LLM, these are both completely interchangeable. You can use the ones I recommend below, or feel free to use whatever you’re more comfortable with.

What makes this system unique is not the model you use, but the workflows that you create, so any LLM (just like an employee) can execute it and give you the outputs that you require.

Brief

Skills are the core component of your AI System, as they are unique workflows that can be tailored to your preferences, while executing the boring tasks that you hate doing.

Every action that you perform can be converted into a repeatable workflow that gives the LLM information on what you want to achieve, and how to achieve it.

These are called Skills, and they're a framework that lets any LLM understand your workflow and the full steps to carry out a task.

I see it as the SOPs that I get as an employee on the different workflows that are found in the company.

And just like how employees are interchangeable in a company, the whole idea of Skills is such that you can build it once, and any model can execute it with an output that you expect.

So let's first start by seeing how it works in action by using 2 of my pre-built Skills. We'll first need to install the core infrastructure of our AI System, which includes these:

Install OpenCode Desktop (BYOK)

Generate an API key in Google AI Studio (LLM)
